Subject:  September 11, 2002 Meeting

 

The IN Geologists meeting will be held at the Fortune House restaurant on Wednesday, September 11, 2002, 7:00pm.  Happy half-hour starts at 6:00 pm, with dinner around 6:30 followed by a key speaker.

 

The September meeting of the Indiana Geologists will be held Wednesday September 11, 2002 at 7:00pm. The speaker for this meeting will be Dr. Paul Schwab from Purdue University. The name of his presentation is "Phytoremediation of Petroleum Contaminants in Soils”.   

 

ATTENTION: The meeting will be held on the Northwest side of Indianapolis at the Fortune House Chinese Restaurant located at 9106 Wesleyan Road.  From I-465 exit on Michigan Road and head south to the first stop light, turn left (east) on DePauw Blvd then turn right (south) at the first intersection on Wesleyan, the restaurant is on the west side of the road.  From within the city head north on Michigan Road past 86th Street and turn right on DePauw.  The restaurant serves beer and wine and features a buffet dinner for $8.00 plus menu orders.  Senior Citizens receive a 10% discount.

               

IMPORTANT: Membership dues for both single and institutional are due at this time (single: $15 / institutional: $45).  Institutional membership invoices for companies needing hardcopy documentation is available through Rob George.

4/9/03 -- Dr. James Mills, DePauw Univ., "Origin of Calcite Vein Complexes, Bancroft, Ontario".  Location to be determined.
