Attendees were provided with perfect weather for a low cost one day trip that would cover 5 sites in 8 hours.  The focus of the trip was coal mining practices and reclamation.  Time was also provided for some sample collecting.  A very well organized and informative trip provided those in attendance with a close look at surface mining in Indiana and a great Field Trip Guide book.

Those who attended the trip should understand the content of the photographs contained in these pages.  For the unfortunate geologists who could not attend this trip, sorry, maybe next time.
