  • PGI recommends the membership SEARCH for the following pending legislation: House Bill 1287: This bill introduces the Geologist In Training, GIT, into the LPG statute.   House Bill 1552 addresses many DNR issues.  Near the bottom of this bill you will find the language that completes the process of removing geologists as well as all professionals other than professional engineers from involvement in dam safety and inspections on high hazard classified dams in Indiana.  On the site you can also search by key word.  If you find pending legislation that causes you concern, links are provided to direct you to your elected congressional staff.   PGI encourages the political awareness of our professional members and colleagues.
