Christy Carter - Undergraduate summer intern

Christy is studying the geochemistry of a layered diorite - granite pluton in the San Bernardino Mountains.

Heather DeWalt - Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC) intern.

Sarah Needy - M.S. student

Sarah is currently working on tuffs and granites in the Colorado River region of southeastern California and western Arizona.

Jennifer Roell - M.S. student

Jen is working on the age and mineral chemistry of a granite pluton in the Little San Bernardino Mountains.

 Former Petrology People

Nicole Fohey - MS student, completed a comparative study of large-volume ignimbrites and contemporaneous plutons in the western Mojave Desert; now a professional geologist in Indianapolis.

Christina Forbes - Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC) intern, studied a tilted cross section through the continental crust of the San Bernardino Mountains; now a graduate student at New Mexico Tech.

Kristin Hellem Hughes - MS student, completed a petrologic study of mantle xenoliths in basalts along the southern San Andreas fault; now a graduate student at the University of Alabama.

Sarah Needy - Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC) intern, identified and studied a tilted cross section through the continental crust of southern California; now a graduate student at IUPUI.

Emerson Palmer - Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program student, worked on the geochemistry of granite plutons in Joshua Tree National Park; now a graduate student at IUPUI.

Kelly Probst - Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program student, worked on basalts in the eastern Transverse Ranges; now a graduate student at the University of Florida.

Joshua Richards - Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program student, worked on a zoned pluton in the San Bernardino Mountains; now a graduate student at the University of Florida.
