G545 - APPLIED ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES IN GEOLOGY
Principles of X-ray diffractometry, electron microprobe analysis, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and cathodoluminescence, with applications to earth sciences. Lectures on theory are followed by hands-on laboratory exercises. Each student will complete an individual research project.
