Consent of instructor. Application of geologic principles to common environmental problems. Topics covered include waste site assessment, flood hazard analysis and mitigation, slope stability, and hydrogeology. Application of principles to problems pertaining to urban planning, earthquake-resistant design, and waste site/landfill development.
